Biodegradable Wildflower Seed Paper

• A pot for planting or a sunny spot in the garden
• Some good potting soil
• your Ashton Soap Works Biodegradable Wildflower Seed paper
• Water
• a sunny corner, such an amazing zero waste gift idea!

Fill your pot 2/3 full with good potting soil. Tamp down the soil and add more if necessary.  You will want the pot to be firmly full but not packed.  Plant indoors or out according to your planting zones  

Take your label and place in the prepared pot.  you can tear and overlap paper if needed.   Spread 1/8 inch layer of potting soil over the plantable paper and gently tamp down

After planting the paper in the pot or garden give it a good drink of water.  You want the paper and the soil to be nicely damp but not drowning in water.  During the first 10 days keep the paper moist at all times.  the water is essential for germination to occur

Once the sprouts appear, continue to keep the paper moist but be careful not to overwater Once sturdy plants appear, water as needed,  if there is one thing I have learned, a moisture meter stick is your friend
